bob was asking us about how we feel towards pol-ite, after our training.

and lala was saying that she once told coach that she is feeling nervous. and coach's reply was,"you're nervous because you're afraid that you can't win."

it was so true.

frankly, tell me. now that we're only left with less than 10 junior girls in the team than the initial 20 or so, who doesn't want to represent the school for pol-ite? who doesn't? even i myself wants to be selected for pol-ite. be it a kind of acknowledgement or what, but i want to bring home medals as well. i want to prove to my parents what i've been doing so far in my training and my commitment was worth it. yet, i am so nervous, so afraid. bob told us that we'll be having the selection for pol-ite this week. today's 6km run was taken into consideration and our timing was taken. 35:45. yes, i know that's considered slow. and running has been something that i always dread since young. i have never run long distances in my secondary school life, except for napfa tests and i'm sure not among the fastest. it was till i got into canoeing that i get myself running, because i have to, i have to train my stamina. 7.5 laps. each lap, i was pyschoing myself so much, so much. "come on, 4 more laps, 4 more laps! 3 more! just hang in there. it will soon be over! okay okay! just the last 1.5 laps. sprint your way off at the last o.5lap!! go go go! you can do it!". it was so hard on me. running is not hard at all. but being judged with running as one of the criterias, does seem challenging. its the mental that's hard.

time trial this saturday. give it all out le. this may or may not be my first competition in RP. if i wanted to earn that medal, i have got to make it happen. at least it gives me a chance. water training on tuesday. shall be hitting gym this thursday and going for optional sunday training till 24nov, canoeing pol-ites.

only 4 polys will be participating. and the standard for females isn't high in singapore, than to say in polys. but there will always be competition.

mental + strength + endurance + commitment.

Fishy,
Being human beings, there are always times we do not perform up to our own standards (e.g. talk only, no action).
That's where emotional intelligence comes useful.When we do not feel like taking action and moving forward to do what we need to do, this is when winners stand out. They are able to control their emotions, and push themselves forward to do things they need to do even when they don't feel like doing.

Having said that, we may not have to strive to be perfect, just be better than who we were yesterday. Philosophical huh? :o) I am sure you know what I mean.

we got our jerseys last friday. though it wasn't the best, but it sure gave me a sense of acknowledgement in the team. but seriously, the fonts are effing small. LOL. we wore the team polo after training, which was the red jersey. and saturday felt like such a bloody saturday. tml as well. water training. :D

WEEHOO!

oh yeah. its been a week plus alrdy. not considered really busy. but just as usual. water training last thursday was cancelled cos apparently, the bus company was full. so we sat down at the sports complex, watch mel get scared by scary movie clip, fiddled with wax trying to create something out of my hair, watch mel make a cartwheel while we fall due to the big impact of her turning, laughed alot, dinner after that. training on last saturday- k2 with joanne followed by k1. my partner got exchanged away. she's alone on k1.. she doesn't want me anymore. coach doesn't us together.. okay, fine. enough of all those. lunch after that and headed for home early. got knocked out immediately.

skipped sunday's training and went for work after that. saw lots of people- kelvin, eve, shimin, victor, xiuanpin, benedict, etc. how nice of them to look me up. then i saw faizal. that really made my day. waited for derrick to knock off from his work before heading for the train station. they took their puffs while i stood aside and watch. home after that.

land training on monday. 5.6km was increased to 6km. be it that slight increase of just 0.4km is enough for us to complain about it. usual gym sets, then headed for the pull-up bar. pull-ups were halt due to the rain. continued with our abs in the sports complex. bob said 2 power set but we ended up only doing one. new member just joined us on last saturday - kristin. i spelled her name wrongly, if im not wrong. but it sounds like that. its going to be hard for her to start doing sets that we are doing now as ours increased over the time. it will just take her some time before she gets used to it. (:

this week's thursday's water training was changed to tuesday. meaning combined water training. and EEYER! its alright that the water was choppy due to the winds. but the water was so foamy can!!! TG that we didn't cap around the foamy areas.

went ms yesterday to get the medic bag from 4skns. window shopped arnd, dinner, then home.
checked out the adidas windbreakers and royal sporting house's puma dry-fit caps. super nice! especially the black one with gold prints. but i'm deciding on whether to get the puma cap or adidas.

in the school library now. the first UTs of each module just ended today. UT2 coming up next thursday. sian sian.

i'm starting to enjoy being in W34P now. :D

just wondering, why didn't i make a sacrifice to commit back into something that had been a great part of me, just months ago, or when i was in secondary school? i wouldn't want to say much about it because it just felt like an excuse. seeing the others commiting so much for it just to make it possible and a good one, again, i felt guilty. all i've mentioned before during the 2 years among my secondary school days felt so much like rubbish. to put it in other words, it just a matter of whether you want or not, or are you willing or not. well, DPDS- different people in different situations. perhaps i'm no longer in the position to comment anything on it alrdy.

the camp will be a successful one, definitely.

had water training last saturday, no work :D then we headed off to amk central for lunch. in the end, we're left with bev and benjamin. walked arnd amk hub and went to grab food, sat down at the giordano area there and munched on. we found the legendary cotton FBTs in NTUC. LOLs. shagged.

went to try out dragonboat last sunday. we ended up running from the stadium there to seletar cos we're running late. went down and paddled. it was super fun. LOL. then we did alot of "patterns", like 10 hard strokes, J-cut strokes and compete with each sides to see who wins, paddled the boat in just 2 pairs, then in pairs, and then solo. it was very enjoyable though. but the after-effects weren't very nice - bum pain and right back pain.
went for work after that.

had land training yesterday- raining. hence we did 10 mins of numerous jogging around the staircase on the 3rd level of the sports complex, 3 sets of power sets, gym, pull-ups (increased to 55pull ups), and abs. now not only my butt hurts, my abs and my back hurts as well.

got home last night. super shag. revised my UT this morning. i could have done better in today's UT luh. damn it. wasted. spent too much time on the first few questions though.

the others went for HPT camp yesterday. i hope everything will go well and i know that everything will go well, for they won't allow any mistakes within thier means. jiayou bah!

whees!!

okay. went for water training on saturday. training was spilted into 3 sessions. did 2km warmup with bev on k2, followed by 4km; switched to t1 and did 4 times 1km; 6km on k1. the bad feeling on k1 was back, and i felt super shag. bev and sihong tried k2 with qifang and lala, respectively. so good. mmm. nvm, back to what i was saying, the stressful feeling on k1 is back. felt super much like capsizing but nevertheless, i completed 6km and coach said OTOT. didn't capsize at all. -clap please-* hehe. the sun was super big and there was once when i felt like my ears were going to get cooked soon, so i quickly patted it with water. no idea why, but there is always this feeling that something is stuck in my chest, causing chest contraction or discomfort. i managed to twist and exit the paddle sideways, which was what coach told me last week. did refreshments- pull ups 1 to 7 and 7 to 1 in the pyramid style, plus one power set of tiger torso. my back is aching again. went for washup and ran for the bus to j8, super hilarious! chengxun and melvin didn't make it for training bcos they were late and they waited for us at bishan for 5hrs.

prawning at katib with adeline, benjamin, benedict, chengxun and big melvin. rented only 2 rods cos only melvin, chengxun and i were prawning. managed to caught 23 prawns within 2.5 hrs, which was a great acheivement! woots! but my nose wasn't friendly cos it was runny ytd. went to chongpang for dinner then to home.

didn't go for training on sunday cos my back was aching and i seriously felt so deprived of sleep. went to meet the guys up at j8 after their training. wahyudi left for church while yongann, big melvin and chengxun take train along the marina bay line with me. i dropped off at somerset and went to heeren earlier. was window shopping and i went to check out crumpler. fucking sexy can!! the complete seed is so fucking nice!! i tried on the blue and the green one. mmm. addicted. wait for me. i'm coming to get you next month! WOOTS! john ong(oneof the boss) came during my break and i told him abt working only on sundays during this period of time cos saturdays training has been ending rather later recently. then he asked me till what time. i thought of telling him a later time but he told me its alright and let me take a break during this period of time. then i told him that my saturdays training very shiong and i'll be very tired if i were to come for work, which is very true lah. then he told me to take a break and that if its genuine, its alright, cos those who aren't, are already not in his list alrdy. well, i'm definitely not lying. one thing i can promise you is that as long as you are able to compromise with my schedule, i'll work with you although u pay me peanuts. i rather do a swee swee one once a week than to come for work on both weekends feeling super bored and shag from training.

hey goreous came last friday. took pictures with milubing then went to library to chill with joanne, adeline and benjamin. drew explicit pictures(for more details, check out adeline's blog), left for cwp in seek for shorts but ended up looking at sports equipment and trying out dry-fit caps. shall get one if i'm going for pol-ites. or i'll be getting one soon, either way bah. derrick passed me the top today. BIG THANKS TO DERRICK!!

anw, i saw mel's miss call after my work and i called her back. yongann, peisi and her were at orchard to collect her pay. so i got down at orchard to meet them up. regretted man. sighs. LOL. nvm.

went for a talk instead of water training earlier on because from the period of november to april, there will be no SAS talks which means that we wouldn't be able to chalk up our DA+DP points during that period of time. plus, i can still turn up for sunday's training and i did turn up for last sunday's training. so no matter what, my attendence will still be within the required 75%. whees! no work on saturday! going to go for prawning. and i'm wondering when will the dates for pol-ites be settled cos i need to settle dates for my work as well. plus, if it happens to be in november, then i'll have to see to it that it doesn't clashes with my work and also the voluntary work at the standard chartered marathon, for free goodies bags!

now, i'm waiting for the guys' training to end and they are having their swimming as their remaining training- 10 laps i think. if my laptop is ever going to die on me, i'll have to survive on my phone's songs.

another week is coming to an end. saturday's refreshments freaks me a little when i think of it. but nvm. shall be enjoying on saturday! hopefully can get the num tee from derrick this sunday. i've been waiting for it for a week le. but he's doing me a favour mah. so, i'll just have to wait, till he does all his other staff purchases this sunday.

shall end off here le. i'm going to keep track of all my swee swee grades man- 3Bs and 9As. woots!

so much to talk about what happened over the weekends. the guys got to go on K2 on saturday's water training and benedict was so happy that he actually teared!! not abit, but alot lah! HAHA. and they've actually progressed quite fast cos quite a few of them are able to balance on the K2 and go to and fro to 1 km mark. did 8km of K2 with beverly, i think. then we switched over to K1 for the girls. almost all of us got onto K boats alrdy! congrats!

yet, it felt very stressful on K1. probably i didn't take enough food in the morning to absorb my gastric juice or probably whatsoever. but it felt so hard to breathe on the boat. so uncomfy. but the feeling to be able to go far does feel good. went for sunday's training. joanne and i went on K1 and coach told us to go for 12 km. joanne and i were like "woah!". like damn super stressful lah. then the guys were to complete 12km in T1, but the first 4 who completed 8km, can go on K2. then benjamin, hairu, chengxun and yongann were chionging their way. the stressful feeling on K1 is back, and this time, even stronger. its either my butt is too big or the seat is too small and i can feel my "soft bones" gua-ing arnd the seat whenever i twist. plus, it felt as though there is a "burp" choke somewhere in my chest and i'm unable to get it out. at times, i felt so much like capsizing i just refuse to allow that to happen. capsized twice in the middle of the lanes and once when i was going back to the pontoon after my 12km. so wasted. but its alright. joanne and i were laggin behind the guys cos we're trying to balance. but when we finished our 12km, benjamin and chengxun still haven started their 4km cos they keep capsizing. and i saw them capsize right after they've been rescued, while yongann and hairul finished their 4km after we've finished our debrief with coach.

work was super boring and boring on saturday and sunday respectively. but i'm skipping work on saturday cos i'm going prawning. like finally lah! i've always been missing out on the fun that they've had after training while i go for work. so sad. plus, i've got derrick to help me get a num tee. think he'll pass it to me this sunday though. excited!

i just got my pay. shall see if i can cash the cheque by today. else, i'll drop it into the cheque bin.
i think science is a gonner for me ytd. sure chui de. and i nearly missed out my rj. but i did it this morning. so i hope can still get a B, don't spoil my swee swee grades.
land training yesterday was alright. we did only 1.6km sprint set, followed by bball and captain's ball. and i got a head shot from kenneth. good job ah! then followed by gym, pull-ups and abs. bev's blister was hurting her and it kind of affects her. may her blister recover soon. in addition, we managed to zham bev's face with cake ytd! at least it creates a memory for her though. :D:D:D
